As part of a short trip to Potsdam, we stopped at Assaggi before a long walk through the palace gardens. The very, very friendly and attentive service was very quick to take the order. The food itself was extremely tasty and the portion well sized. This more than makes up for the relatively high price. We would love to come back ... keep it up! :)

Certainly not only the nice restaurant staff was the absolute bestseller during my visit, but also the unique climate. We found the selection of drinks not bad! Find the restaurant suitable for all occasions insignificant whether with a partner, friends or family; I haven't been so fascinated by a restaurant for a long time.

Very delicious food! Partly classic Italian, partly also slightly special dishes. The waiters were in a very good mood and served us quickly and in a friendly manner. I can really recommend it! The prices are high, but perfectly reasonable for the quality.

The food was good overall, but my wife's antipasti had a sausage that was so hot for her that it spoiled her entire taste. Perhaps one should point this out beforehand. The shop was very full, so the noise level was of course very high. The service was friendly, but you always had the feeling that you should hurry up so that the next one could eat. For us, no Italians where we absolutely have to go again.

Very tasty food. Restaurant very good service also very friendly. Although expensive, if you want to have a nice evening in Rinne, it's worth it.

Friendly service, felt we were in good hands. Food was delicious! Reasonably priced, although I had to swallow a glass of white wine for € 8.50 ... other than that, everything was good. We'd love to come back

Best Italian in Potsdam. And there are many good Italian restaurants in town. But this one is special. The vibe is extremely good. and the food is excellent. We had Pasta and Entrecote. Both extremely good. Paired with a bottle of wine. Fantastic. And the tiramisu was a dream. There was a hint of lemon to move it from great to world-class.

Despite the reservation and confirmation in the morning, the restaurant canceled the reservation for 4 p.m. by email at 2:40 p.m. Well done. DAY KAPPY

If someone likes Italian cuisine, the Assaggi restaurant is the place for them. Tasty food and great service. Very nice restaurant in Potsdam. It is always very well attended.

Average food, poor service, okay prices

Great daily menu, super fresh ingredients and a very fine taste experience. From the starter platter to the main course and panna cotta.

Very good Italian restaurant. You can sit outside, enjoy delicious wine and enjoy homemade pasta or other Italian specialties. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and can really recommend the Assaggi!

My food was too salty, I gave it back after trying it twice, but didn't have to pay anything. The other two meals were good, but at the dish for almost € 27 too little on the plate, no pizza on offer from an Italian restaurant 🤔

Delicious but you need to wait a bit

We came across the restaurant by chance due to its great location directly on Luisenplatz. Especially when the weather is good, the large umbrellas and comfortable chairs invite you to take a moment and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The typical Italian food (even if no pizza) tastes very good, fresh and of high quality. The portions are big enough (but not immense to satisfy any hunger) and nicely arranged, as we all know, the eyes eat with them😉. The staff is very friendly, open-minded and processes all orders, even at peak times and busy periods, quickly, precisely and still takes special requests. The price is justified in terms of the quality of the food, location and interior of the restaurant and service quality, but not a savings tip in Potsdam. It is definitely worth a visit (especially in summer) for fans of good, traditional Italian food. But if you are looking for extravagant creations, you should look elsewhere if possible.

Food is not at level with prices.

Happily surprised. Finally hit a really good Italian again. Fortunately it turned out to be a place to eat. Enjoyed large plate of anti pasti. With delicious grilled fennel and other vegetables, sausages, Buffalo Mozzarella and Carpaccio. The Vitello Tonato was also very popular. Then a large plate of fresh pasta. No more room for a meat / fish dish. A fantastic nice fresh glass of Limoncello and a cup of Espresso. Friendly service. Real Italians, not a fake or would be. Large sunny terrace with umbrellas. Price was not too bad. Centrally situated. At the large city square with the Contipark. Reservations are recommended. Italy has recaptured us here again.

Nice Italian restaurant on Luisenplatz, which invites you to sit and relax in summer. Reservations are particularly recommended on weekends. The food is delicious. Particularly noteworthy is the very courteous staff. All in all gladly again.

I visited this restaurant for my birthday lunch with friends, en route to Sanssouci palace. Loved the experience and I will love to come back in the future. The food is great with an ambience to match. The staff was attentive (also overworked with the overflowing orders). I just love garlic and wouldn't mind having it on my breath if the food featuring it tastes this great! A big thumbs up!

We were at Assaggi for dinner. The online reservation worked perfectly. The food from the mixed antipasti platter, to the main dishes, grilled tuna, saltimbocca, tagliatelle salmone and panna cotta was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The service was very friendly and always on the ball. We would love to come back 👍🏻😊

One of the best Italians I know and we were there on the first day of the opening after Corona and water damage, everything was perfect and Italian quality of life like from a picture book. Food really good, service perfect, chef always there and charming. Definitely reserve ..

We came here spontaneously around lunchtime and were absolutely delighted with both the service and the food. Very friendly staff, very delicious food and a great coffee! Any time!!!

A lovely Italian restaurant directly in Potsdam. We hadn’t big expectations on this restaurant, but they smashed all expectations. The small mixed Italian plate was enough for 2 ;-) really delicious! The tagliatelle with salmon were outstanding. The sauce based on tomatoes, but not superposing the rest of the ingredients. The salmon was very tender and not overcooked. You should reserve upfront.

Very good food and service

we had Lunch in this italian restaurant. First thing you need to know: It is quite expensive but the quality of the food is really good. Unfortunately, the service was pretty bad, the italian guy who attended us wasnt friendly and It made the experience a bit weird. But everything else was totally ok!!

Assaggi might be the best restaurant in the centre of Potsdam. Great Italian food and prices are moderated. It is a very lovely place to eat after a day trip to Potsdam. Very much recommended.

Great experience! Tried the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio and Spaghetti mit Vongole und Muscheln, which were both good. Even the complimentary bread is nice. The place is also spacious and great for groups. The highlight though was the excellent service. Highly recommended.

Good food, nice Staff.

It is locating just out of the street from Sanssouci and maybe that is why it is relatively well reputated. To me food is mediocre, service doesn't exist, and way too expensive. My friend living in Potsdam couldn't believe it's prices. Menu is limited and not worth. There are many fine dinnigs in Potsdam, so I won't particularly recommend it.

Slow service. Have to be more detail oriented. Orders were not noted correctly a couple of times. Great location though and friendly staff. Food is good.
